Welcome to Capital Tots Nannies. These Terms and Conditions govern the use of our website and the engagement of our childcare and recruitment services. By making a booking or using our website, you agree to these terms.
Our Services
Capital Tots Nannies provides professional childcare and recruitment services, including:

Occasional Babysitting Services

Night Nanny Services

Wedding and Event Nannies

Short-Term Nanny Services

Long-Term Nanny Recruitment
All nannies engaged through Capital Tots Nannies are carefully screened and meet our minimum requirements, including current Working With Vulnerable People Checks, Police Checks, First Aid and CPR qualifications, references, and a face-to-face interview.
Booking Confirmation
Bookings are confirmed once the applicable booking fee or deposit has been received.
Booking fees cover administration, planning, coordination, and the allocation of suitable nannies. Unless otherwise stated, booking fees are non-refundable.
Capital Tots Nannies reserves the right to decline or withdraw services where staffing, safety, or operational concerns arise.
Payment Terms
Invoices are payable in accordance with the terms agreed upon for each service.
Late payments may result in future bookings being suspended until outstanding amounts have been paid.
Cancellation Policies
Occasional Babysitting Service
We understand that plans sometimes change.

Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled start time will forfeit the booking fee only.

Cancellations made between 6 and 24 hours before the scheduled start time will incur a charge equivalent to three hours at the booked hourly rate, plus the booking fee.

Cancellations made less than 6 hours before the scheduled start time will incur the full booking amount, plus the booking fee.
Wedding and Event Nannies
The booking fee is non-refundable under all circumstances, as it secures staffing, planning, and resources for your event.

Cancellations made more than 14 days before the event will not incur charges beyond the booking fee.

Cancellations made within 14 days of the event may incur charges of up to 50% of the estimated nanny hours booked.

Cancellations made within 72 hours of the event, or same-day cancellations, may incur charges of up to 100% of the estimated nanny hours booked.
Changes to event times, locations, guest numbers, or the number of children should be communicated as early as possible. While we will always endeavour to accommodate reasonable changes, late amendments may result in additional fees or adjustments to nanny allocation.
In the event of severe weather, venue closures, or other major disruptions outside the Client's control, Capital Tots Nannies will work in good faith to reschedule services where possible, subject to availability.
Night Nanny Services
Night Nanny services are governed by a separate Night Nanny Agreement, which outlines specific payment, cancellation, and rescheduling policies.
Travel, Parking and Additional Charges
Additional charges may apply for:

Public holidays;

Short-notice bookings;

Additional children;
-
Extended hours;
-
Travel outside our standard service area;
-
Parking fees where applicable.
Any additional fees will be discussed with families before being charged wherever possible.
Public Holiday Rates
Bookings commencing or occurring on a public holiday attract a 50% surcharge.
Health and Safety
The safety and wellbeing of children remain our highest priority.
Capital Tots Nannies reserves the right to decline, suspend, or terminate services where:

A child or household member has an infectious illness;

Unsafe conditions exist;

Relevant information affecting care has not been disclosed;

Aggressive, abusive, or inappropriate behaviour occurs;

Care requirements fall outside the agreed scope of services.
Respectful Behaviour
Capital Tots Nannies is committed to maintaining a safe and respectful environment for families and nannies.
Verbal abuse, harassment, discrimination, threatening behaviour, physical violence, or unsafe conduct towards our nannies or representatives will not be tolerated.
We reserve the right to immediately cease services where such behaviour occurs.
Nanny Recruitment Services
Capital Tots Nannies provides recruitment and placement services only.
Families employing a nanny introduced through our recruitment service are responsible for:

Employment contracts;

Wages and entitlements;
-
Superannuation;
-
Tax obligations;
-
Workers compensation insurance;
-
Compliance with applicable employment legislation.
Recruitment fees are non-refundable once recruitment has commenced.
Force Majeure
Capital Tots Nannies will not be liable for delays or inability to provide services due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, government restrictions, public health emergencies, or venue closures.
Where possible, we will work with families to reschedule services, subject to availability.
Limitation of Liability
Capital Tots Nannies maintains appropriate Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the value of the services provided.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes any rights or guarantees available under Australian Consumer Law.
Intellectual Property
All content contained on this website, including text, logos, branding, graphics, and images, remains the property of Capital Tots Nannies Pty Ltd unless otherwise stated.
Content may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, or used for commercial purposes without prior written permission.
Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Australian Capital Territory, Australia.
Changes to These Terms
Capital Tots Nannies may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The most current version will always be available on our website.
